I painted this during the time in Art School when I was really admiring the likes of Salvador Dali and Frida Khalo. I wanted to do my own dreamscape painting.
The premise of the painting is one of “Some things die so others may live” and thus is the cycle of life. I also thought of the possibilities of reincarnation. I thought of a mountain of Death is nurturing an infant piece of land comprised of various experiences that require consumption and put you in danger.
Above the two trees reach between each other in the same manner of Micheal Angelo’s “The Creation of Adam” in the Sistine chappel.
It is all circular as one thing creates the other.
